What We Do

Future Noise is a youth music development organisation and proud facilitators of Rock Challenge Tasmania — one of Tasmania’s longest-running and most impactful youth music initiatives.

The Rock Challenge has been running for over 30 years, providing generations of young Tasmanians with their first experience of writing, rehearsing and performing original music on a professional stage. In our most recent year, the program reached its biggest participation level ever, reflecting a renewed appetite for live music, creativity and youth-led culture across the state.

Through Future Noise, we continue this legacy while expanding opportunities for young artists to develop real-world skills, confidence and pathways into the music industry.

We work with schools, young people, venues and community partners across Tasmania, tailoring programs to suit each setting.

Programs for Schools & Youth

Our programs are designed to run from the start of the year through to a Mid-Year / Youth Week Showcase, giving students a clear creative goal and a performance to work toward.

Rather than fixed, one-size-fits-all offerings, we collaborate with schools to shape programs that best suit their students, timetable and resources.
